Steve Tarrant - General Manager, Inshore
Steve, a South Islander born in Temuka, brings to Aotearoa Fisheries 15 years experience in the seafood business plus five years with the Port of Wellington.
He previously worked at Deep Cove Fisheries, a South Island based company, which later became part of the Talleys Group.
During his years with Deep Cove he worked his way through processing, manufacturing and marekting to the role of Group Operations Manager, overseeing catching, processing and some aspects of international and domestic marketing.
From Deep Cove and Talleys he moved on to CentrePort Wellington. As General Manager Operations he was responsible for the whole day-to-day operations.
The move to Aotearoa Fisheries was a "timely opportunity" after five years out of the industry. One of the attractions was the opportunity to work with a 100% Maori owned company that is striving to be here for future generations.
Steve is married to Kim and has three children.
